TRAVEL | Where I Went In 2017, 1.0

The year has almost come to an end already. It flew by so fast. At least, it always feels that way. In 2017, I travelled quite a lot. I visited many countries that I had never been to before, crossed the ocean and spent hours in trains traveling through Europe. One of the benefits of living in Europe. It only takes a few hours to reach a different country! But hey, since it’s almost 2018, I wanted to go down 2017 memory lane and share some pictures of my trips.

April 2017 – Prague with Renée
Together with Renée, I went on a bustrip to Prague. We were there for a long weekend and had lots of time to explore the city. For both of us, it was our first time there. I was impressed by the amazing architecture, the prices of the food and much more. We walked a lot, enjoyed some of the beautiful views we had and ate delicious food. The city stole my heart and I knew that I had to come back… something which I did a few months later.

June 2017 – Swedish Lapland for my internship
In February, I started my internship at Yourlbb in Amsterdam. I was asked to go on a press trip to Sweden, which was very exciting. I had never been on a press trip before, but there’s a first time for everything right? It was an amazing experience, especially since I didn’t know what to expect at all. Beautiful nature, fresh air and lots of outdoor activities.

July 2017 – Interrail, 1st destination: Berlin
In July my ‘big’ trip began. I packed my backpack, grabbed my interrail pass and went to travel through Europe. Berlin being the first destination. I’d been there before, but there was still so much to do and see. This time I visited the holocaust memorial, went to art galleries and museums and mainly just walked a lot. It’s such a big and diverse city.

July 2017 – Interrail, 2nd destination: Prague
While planning my interrail trip, my initial plan was to skip Prague, since I had already been there before. But I changed my plans on the way and booked a hostel in Prague. I’m happy that I did because it was lovely to be in this city again. It was warm, I met nice people in the hostel and visited places in the city that I didn’t see during my previous visit.

July 2017 – Interrail, 3rd destination: Krakow
After Prague, it was time to head towards Krakow in Poland. I had never been there before, but really liked the the cute and romantic city. Although I didn’t meet nice people in my hostel, I still had a good time. I visited a castle, the old town and went to a botanical garden. This is really a city I want to go back to someday to explore the nightlife a little and have some more tasty and cheap meals.

This is part 1 of my 2017 travels, but because there are many more cities and countries that I went to, I decided to divide the post into 3 parts. Hope you liked part 1! And part 2 and 3 will follow soon.

Have you been to one of these cities yourself? And tell me about your favorite 2017 trip!
