It’s Monday. So that means time for a new week. But for me, today is also the start of a new chapter. I don’t share personal stories on my blog that often, so a lot of you might not know what I have been up to last year. Last year, I moved to Amsterdam to start studying English Language and Culture. After a few months I dropped out. Why? I didn’t like most of the things we learned, and most of all I felt like ‘the university’ way of studying wasn’t for me. Too much reading, reading and yes more reading. I felt unhappy, and was glad when I finally decided to just quit.
Since I didn’t want to do nothing, I looked for an internship in Amsterdam and found one! In February I started as in intern at Your Little Black Book. During those 5 months, I learned a lot and had a lot of fun as well because of the nice colleagues and good vibes. When those 5 months were over, I went on an Interrail trip through Europe, enjoyed the rest of my holiday and now it’s time for something new again.
I’m going to school again, starting today. And hopefully this time I will enjoy it. But I guess I will. The course I’m going to follow is called ‘Media, Information and Communication‘. So it’s something I’ve been interested in for a while. I mean, blogging, Instagram, youtube. But with this course I’m going to learn about lots of other subjects as well. The first year will be very broad, so you can see what you like most. And in the other years you can focus on a specific field that you like, such as text writing or AV. And later on following a minor and doing internships.
Are you studying? If so, what are you studying?
