BLOG THINGS | How I Edit My Instagram Pictures

How I edit my instagram pictures radiatefashion

A question I receive frequently on Instagram is how I edit my instagram pictures?’. I already wrote a blogpost about this once, but since the way I edit my pictures has changed a bit I figured I’d write it again. I don’t do a lot of editing. Just the colors a bit, brightness, and some other things. No photoshop. Just VSCO cam and Instagram. Take a look at my instagram account @radiatefashion to see more.

One of the things I like to do is adding a filter while shooting the picture. You can do this with an iPhone. I always go for the one named fade. Then I open the picture in VSCOcam. There are quite a lot of filters to choose from, but I always use HB1. I don’t use it all the way, but most of the times +7. It depends on the picture of course since they aren’t all the same, but I do want them to look the same way.

If the picture is dark, I like to add some exposure. But not too much, since I don’t like it when my picture is over exposed. Then I add some clarity. I honestly don’t really know what this does, but I love the look it gives to your pictures. Normally I add between +4 & +7.

Next thing I do is adjusting the saturation. I like to show some color in my picture so most of the times I add around +1 or +2. Not too much since you don’t want the colors to look fake. I also don’t want my pictures to look too blue or too orange. That’s why I play around with the temperature of the picture too.

And that’s it. That’s how I edit my instagram pictures. When I open to picture on Instagram, I sometimes add a little bit more brightness but that’s all. Hope you liked seeing and reading this.

It looks beautiful! I’m not a huge fan of VSCO, but everybody else is, so I guess I’m using it wrong. Maybe I have to try it again! Malou x

Yassss, VSCO to the rescue haha! X
